We have worked in the Puna, the Andean high plateau of northwest Argentina, for more than a decade: we know the gravel roads, the altitude and what they demand of a pickup. We rent out the same 4x4 pickups we run in that operation, maintained by the same mechanics.

The units
4x4 pickups maintained in our own workshop
Our workshop was built to keep our own fleet running: the pickups are inspected and repaired by our own mechanics. Fewer days off the road after a breakdown.
On our own mining work the 4x4 pickups carry the equipment asked for at the gate: roll cage, buggy whip with flag, strobe beacon, fire extinguishers, a second spare wheel and snow chains. Entry requirements differ from one operation to the next, so we prepare the unit to what yours asks for.
What is included
What the rental includes
The price is quoted on the term, the use and the ground the unit will cover. The quote goes out in writing, with the conditions clear from the first day.
Preventive and corrective work in Salta, by the mechanics who service our own fleet.
GPS on the units in service, for the length of the rental contract.
For destinations with no mobile signal, Starlink satellite connectivity can be added on request.
We coordinate delivery and return of the unit in Salta, as agreed in the contract.
Term, distance allowance in kilometers and conditions of use are set out in the contract, with no hidden costs.

What we ask for
Self-drive rental is a service for companies: we ask for a current CUIT (the Argentine tax ID), a signed rental contract setting out the conditions of use, and the insurance coverage that corresponds to this type of rental. Once that is settled, delivery is coordinated within a few days.
Our legal name is Lausof S.R.L., CUIT 30-71146774-9, and we issue Factura A (the Argentine tax invoice), with the data a supplier registration asks for. If your buyers need anything else, write to contacto@lausof.com.
Frequently asked questions
What companies ask before renting
Is the rental with or without a driver?
Without a driver, on a monthly basis: the unit is at your company's disposal and your authorized drivers operate it. If what you need is the trip handled for you, that is a different service: see mining logistics or personnel transport.
Who does the maintenance?
We do, in our own workshop in Salta and with our own mechanics. Maintenance is included in the rental: the unit is inspected on the agreed plan and you do not have to arrange anything with third parties.
What is needed to rent?
A company with a current CUIT, a signed rental contract with the conditions of use, and the corresponding insurance coverage in force. Tell us your case by email or WhatsApp and we will confirm the steps.
Where is the unit handed over?
Delivery and return are coordinated in Salta, on the dates and at the point agreed in the contract.
Do you issue Factura A?
Yes. Our legal name is Lausof S.R.L., CUIT 30-71146774-9, and we issue Factura A, the Argentine tax invoice.
