Getting to Jujuy Fuerza Sagrada by UTMB: airport, start line and back
Your entry fee does not cover getting to the start. We run 19-seat minibuses with a professional driver for runners, teams and support crews: pickup at Salta or Jujuy airport, the pre-dawn ride to Tilcara or Incahuasi, and the ride back from the finish in Purmamarca. You book directly with the transport company in Salta.
Race week, March 31 to April 4, 2027
Three start towns, one finish
The race is point to point. Every distance finishes in Purmamarca, but the starts are in Tilcara, Incahuasi and Purmamarca itself. That means two rides per runner: one before dawn to the start, one from the finish back to where you sleep.

Lausof SRL is an independent transport company. We do not organize Jujuy Fuerza Sagrada by UTMB, we do not sell race entries and we have no relationship with the organizers. Start times, start points and race updates are confirmed on the race website: jujuy.utmb.world. Details checked there on October 10, 2026, when entries were listed as sold out with a waiting list.
Flying in
Salta or Jujuy: which airport
There is no airport in the Quebrada itself: you land in Jujuy (JUJ) or in Salta (SLA). The organizers' travel page lists direct flights from Jujuy to Buenos Aires, Córdoba and Asunción. Distances below are by road and drive times are approximate, without stops.
Horacio Guzmán airport is about 32 km (20 miles) from the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, and from the city to Purmamarca it is 64 km (40 miles), about 50 minutes of driving.
From Salta to Purmamarca it is about 179 km (111 miles) on routes RN 9 and RN 52, roughly 2 h 15 min; to Tilcara, about 197 km (122 miles) and 2 h 30 min.
Purmamarca and Tilcara are 26 km (16 miles) apart, about 20 minutes. If you sleep in one town and start in the other, this is your pre-race ride.
The finish in Purmamarca sits at about 2,300 m (7,500 ft) and the Incahuasi starts above 3,000 m (9,800 ft), according to the organizers. Arriving two or three days early helps, and we can start your transfers from check-in day.
What we handle
Every ride of race week
We plan around your distance and where your group is staying. The departure times below are planning estimates with a margin, not measured times.
Send us your flight numbers. We meet the group at Salta or Jujuy airport and drive you to Purmamarca, Tilcara or wherever you are staying, with room for duffels and race gear.
The 88K starts at 5:00 a.m. in Tilcara. From Purmamarca we plan to leave around 4:00 a.m. so you reach the start with time to spare.
The organizers publish the exact start point for the 21K, 35K and 50K. Once it is out, we set each group's departure time.
A minibus kept for your support crew, to wait for runners at the Purmamarca finish and to move between villages during the week.
After the finish
From the finish arch to your bed, then to your flight
Finish times spread across the whole day: the 88K has a 23 h 30 min limit, so some runners come in at night. We agree on a meeting point near the Purmamarca finish and the driver waits for the last runner in the vehicle, or makes a second run if your group finishes far apart.
The ride back to the airport is set for Sunday, April 4 or Monday, April 5, depending on each person's flight. Friday, April 2 is a national holiday in Argentina and the race follows Easter week, so road traffic and lodging are busy: book the transport before you fly.
Frequently asked questions
What runners ask us
Does my race entry include transport to the start?
No. The registration page states that the entry fee does not include transport to the start lines, so each runner or team arranges it.
Do the drivers speak English?
Our drivers work in Spanish. We coordinate the whole plan with you in English by email or WhatsApp before you travel, and an English-speaking driver can be requested, subject to availability.
Can you carry poles and duffels?
Yes. Tell us how much luggage each person brings so we choose the vehicle; with a full group and large bags we may add a 4x4 pickup for the luggage.
Our team is bigger than 19 people.
We add vehicles on the same schedule so the whole team reaches the start together.
How do we pay?
We quote per vehicle, not per seat, once we have your dates and numbers. Ask for the payment options that suit you when you request the quote; we issue Factura A to Argentine companies and clubs.
